Everyone has their own great "family secret" recipe for Bar-B-Q favourites, but have you tried mine?
6 skinless, boneless Free Range Chicken Breasts
1 large Organic Orange
1 bunch of fresh Organic Cilantro
Pinch of Spanish Paprika
2 Tbsp. unrefined, cold-pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 bunch of fresh Organic Green Onion
1 Tbsp. Honey plus more for desired thickness
- Rinse, then cut each chicken breast into 3 lengthwise strips. Thread strip onto a 4-6 inch long Bar-B-Q skewer.
- Zest the orange and use two generous tablespoons for the sauce.
- Gently squeeze the orange to get a quarter cup to use in the sauce.
- Chop green onion and cilantro leaves to use two generous tablespoons of each.
- Stir together all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl and brush generously onto all sides of chicken strips.
- Let saucey chicken stand for fifteen minutes. This lets the Bar-B-Q warm-up and coals glowing.
- Grill chicken over glowing coals for fifteen minutes or until chicken is cooked and juicy. Turn and brush with sauce as needed.
- Serve with grilled vegetables or other desired side dish. Serves 6.
Enjoy!
