experiencing many lower fat, calcium rich versions of your favourite dishes!
Let me begin by defining what lactose interance means. Simply put, lactose is milk sugar. Lactose can only be found in the milk of mammals, including humans. Being lactose intolerant is to be unable to digest milk sugar.
Generally, people with lactose intolerance will have abdominal pain, gas, bloating, cramps and dreaded diarrhea.
At Goodness Me! you will find wonderful milk-free items, some developed especially for people with lactose intolerance for milk-protein allergies.
Calcium is more often the main concern for lactose intolerant diets. Giving up dairy foods does not mean that it is impossible to get enough calcium. It just means that you must focus attention on other calcium-rich food choices such as: kale, spinach, and other green vegetables, sea vegetables (eg. Kombu, wakame), almonds and sesame seeds.
Goodness Me! provides friendly, knowledgeable staff to help you supplement your dairy-free diet. They can also suggest digestive enzymes created especially to help with lactose intolerance. And calcium (and other nutrients) absorbs best when the body has adequate digestive power, sot that acidophilus, pancreative enzymes and hydrochlone acid might be helpful as well.
